Investing in the places we call home

At Bank Iowa, we know we’re only as strong as the communities we serve. We empower our people to make decisions through a decentralized process that allows our local lenders to act in the best interest of their neighbors. Our resources equip us with the power to deliver the services and technology of a large bank — but at the same time, we continue to operate as a community bank, staying true to our rural roots and family ownership. We know that a continuous donation of time, financial assistance, sponsorships and scholarships can transform the lives of our neighbors and that’s our goal.

Spirit of Chandy

Created in 2009 to honor former Bank Iowa Vice Chair Chandy Barr Clanton, the Bank Iowa Spirit of Chandy Scholarship program shows our commitment to our communities and area youth. Every year, we distribute $10,000 in scholarship awards to Iowa high school seniors planning to pursue a college degree.

Traveling Challenge Cup

The Bank Iowa Traveling Challenge Cup has awarded more than $50,000 to Iowa schools that excel in academics, athletics and fine arts.
