We are excited to announce that on Monday, December 2, 2019, First State Bank of Colfax officially joins Bank Iowa. A family-owned bank with offices in 23 Iowa communities, including nearby Newton, Pella and Altoona, Bank Iowa customers have access to a large and growing array of financial services. We’re especially proud to serve thousands of Iowa farm families as one of the largest ag lenders in the state.

On behalf of the entire Bank Iowa team, we welcome you to our bank! We look forward to becoming a part of and engaging in the Colfax community. Bank Iowa team members volunteer over 12,000 hours annually to community service and we value investing time, energy and money in the communities in which we live and work.

The transition to Bank Iowa will occur in phases, the first of which begins on December 2, 2019. You will begin to see Bank Iowa branding and logos on paper and digital documents, such as account statements and receipts. Throughout this time, you may continue using your First State Bank of Colfax checks, debit cards and online banking login credentials until we fully integrate the banks’ computer systems in the first quarter of 2020.

Prior to the computer system conversion, you will receive another letter with information on what to expect.

Finally, you can expect to see some exciting changes to the Colfax bank facility. We are working with an architectural firm to design upgrades to the interior and exterior. We hope to start remodeling this winter and can’t wait to welcome you for a celebration when the project is complete.

On a related note, banker Bob Foss will be retiring but has graciously agreed to assist with the transition as needed. We thank Banker Bob for his leadership and wish him a long and healthy retirement! The rest of the First State Bank of Colfax team will continue to serve you and we’re excited to have them join the Bank Iowa family.

Thank you for the opportunity to be your financial partner!
