YOUR IDENTITY IS YOUR OWN

Let's keep it that way

Identity thieves steal mail, skim credit cards, hack into ATMs and rummage through garbage in search for their next victim. These criminals misuse your personal information to obtain fraudulent credit and make unauthorized purchases. Luckily, Bank Iowa offers free and unlimited theft services to all of our customers.

Our fraud specialists are on stand-by to provide you with:

  • Proactive help — This is helpful if there’s suspicious credit charges, if your wallet or purse is lost or stolen, if there’s a burglary or if an organization has a data security breach. We can also be proactive before military deployment, when getting married or divorced, after the death of a loved one or any time you need identity or fraud assistance.
  • Identity theft resolution — To resolve an identity theft, we will prepare our customers with notification materials and communicate with creditors, government agencies and law enforcement. We will also help our customers avoid recurrence of identity theft and will assist with any tax-related, minor child or medical identity theft. Lastly, we will provide any of our victims of identity theft with one year of free identity monitoring services.
  • Identification and document recovery — Bank Iowa will help replace any lost, stolen or destroyed documents and identification. This includes missing passports, credit cards, drivers’ licenses, mortgage or tax papers after a natural disaster of fire or while traveling or relocating.
