Bank Iowa today announced Leeann Parlet has been promoted to director of operations at Bank Iowa. Parlet has 26 years of experience serving the financial industry.

“We are excited to have Leeann serve as a leader within our operations team,” said Jim Plagge, president and CEO of Bank Iowa. “Her experience working in the Oskaloosa community and serving as the bank’s retail training manager and security officer will help Bank Iowa continue to exceed our clients’ expectations.”

After graduating from Oskaloosa High School, Parlet earned a degree in computer programming from Indian Hills Community College. Parlet returned to the Oskaloosa community where she worked up the ranks at a local bank for 14 years, ultimately earning the title of retail operations officer.

Parlet joined Bank Iowa in 2009 as a personal banker and transitioned to retail banking manager two years later. Throughout her career at Bank Iowa, she has led the development and implementation of the bank’s retail training department, helping more than 100 team members begin their careers in various retail operations roles. Under Parlet’s direction, the bank plans to streamline and ensure efficiency in all operation practices, procedures and system applications.

“I am truly thankful for the opportunity to work for such a wonderful organization,” said Parlet. “I have enjoyed training our new retail operation team members, and I look forward to what this new role will bring. It’s a privilege to contribute to our community’s overall success through work that makes a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
